Professor Adam Smith was recently featured with our collaborator Lida Chatzi at Keck School of Medicine on NBC Los Angeles. Together with the ShARP Center, we are working to assess the health impacts of PFAS contamination of drinking water in the greater Los Angeles area. Research carried out by students and postdocs in the ReWater Center focuses on quantifying PFAS compounds in household drinking water and dust. Additionally, we are researching ways to efficiently remediate and remove existing PFAS from water to improve drinking water safety.
